About the event

Join our food history and cooking Halloween special talk! Get down with the nitty-gritty of all those apples and pumpkins. In this event, you will learn to cook this ideal recipe for the fall and traditional spooky season. The dish is our own take on a traditional pumpkin and apple soup recipe by our Chef Josh. All the ingredients and methods are accessible for beginners and people on a budget: you won't need anything fancy or an elaborate kitchen to get this going.

While the dish is cooking, our cultural historian Dr. Lillian Cespedes Gonzalez will explain to you the culinary history of this soup dish. She will also give you the details of the historical background of its main ingredients. Learn the origins of what you are eating while you cook it. Or if you want to just listen and cook later, that's perfectly fine too: we will send you the recipe in writing and a brief guide of the topic covered in this class too.

At the end of the session, you will be able to ask any questions you may have from our experts, share your experience and tell us if our soup is as rich and delicious as we think it is.
